Language Bites, a standards-based warm-up lesson, integrates language arts editing activities with analogies, Social Science themes and writing prompts. The program was developed for use in middle school as well as introductory high school language arts classes. Language Bites utilizes thirty themes, primarily based on UCLA‘s recommended national standards for Social Science, to form the content base for this program. Social Science content is integrated as a thematic thread throughout all activities. Each week, your students are presented with three exercises comprised of theme-threaded editing and analogies, with a journal writing exercise included on the last day requiring a genre-specific response. The Social Science themes change weekly as well as the writing prompt‘s genre. Language Bites is produced on easy to use transparencies and was designed for use throughout the entire school year.

Math Morsels, a rigorous, standards-based warm-up lesson, integrates mathematical concepts and reasoning skills with science content and writing prompts. The program was developed for use in middle & high school Mathematics classes. Designed to be used throughout the entire school year, Math Morsels presents a four question pattern that is repeated on each warm-up lesson. The questioning pattern, chosen to give students practice in testing patterns, requires the student to solve an equation and supply an answer, solve an equation and choose from a multiple choice selection, answer a problem-solving question and respond to a constructive written response. All problem-solving questions are science theme-based using the National Science Education Standards to form the content base of the question.

SciBites, a standards-based science review, was developed for use in middle & high school Science classrooms. Individual program binders have been developed for each of the following science areas: Earth, Life and Physical. SciBites integrates the complementary curriculum components of mathematics and writing into the program activities while covering those scientific content areas critical to your students’ understanding of the subject. Designed to be used throughout the entire school year, each daily exercise is comprised of four unit-threaded questions utilizing the questioning pattern of one multiple choice, one problem-solving, one fill-in-the-blank, and one open-ended response question. All problem-solving questions are integrated with computational mathematics.
SciBites-Biology was designed specifically for high school level science classes. It identifies thirty biology units to form the content of this effective, yet rigorous review program. Sci-Bites-Biology presents three daily exercises per science unit on easy to use transparencies to be introduced concurrently with the unit instruction. Each daily exercise is comprised of four unit-threaded questions utilizing different questioning styles including fill-in-the-blank, matching, and short answer to enhance your students’ retention of academic content.
Foreign Language Review, available for both French and Spanish, is a warm-up lesson developed for use in high school level Foreign Language classes. The program presents five questions per activity, each comprised of two translations (English to foreign and foreign to English), practice in self and peer editing, verb conjugation and tenses and practical language application (math, geography, culture and vocabulary). Foreign Language Review was designed for use throughout the entire school year.
